Surely there is a pipeline such that the 32 robots have 32 in flight at a time and don’t sit idle waiting for a single ps4 to complete.

No, that’s stuff we invented recently. Before it was just jam it in a box and see if it works.

We must have been using it incorrectly then, oh well. Good riddance Atlassian.

Ours JIRA instance took multiple seconds to load modals. Think 5+ seconds. It was miserable. I would have gladly paid more for faster speed but it turned out the APIs were blazing fast and it was the JS that was slow. Not sure how we have h

I tend to agree but I have a anecdotal counterexample. We recently switched from JIRA to Clubhouse by importing our history and backlog wholesale. Due to the substantial performance bump we have definitively leveled up as a team. Status upd

Is the user experience on zoom that good? To me it’s barely passable because I think the bar is higher in 2020 than it was in 2000 (where getting on the conference was a miracle). 1. Today zoom links load a webpage that hits a local web ser

Hah yeah, it’s probably any thinkpad. The X1 carbon is such a better built machine that there isn’t even a comparison. The XPS13 looks good but feels cheap, also good luck getting service from dell if anything breaks.

Sure it does? Revert your code and apply. It’s not atomic but I’m guessing neither is CF. I’m not sure I’d use either of these tools to roll out new code though.

I don’t think I’ve ever met someone that actually uses cloudformation unless a template was provided them to setup something like a lambda. Why would you when terraform exists?

Really? We’ve been using it for 3 years and it works fine. Make sure you pay attention to min/max task settings. There are basically three ways to do it: Min less than max, max is 100. Max greater than min, min is 100. Some combination

Why isn’t that the default? Unless I say otherwise, use it. Imagine launching every app and having to say ok you get 300mb but not more!

Finally! Travis Jeffery did this years ago in Jocko and also solved my other beef with Kafka at the same time by building it in Golang. https://github.com/travisjeffery/jocko I’ve always found things built on JVM are a

There would be no Tesla brand without him. The brand is quite literally "We are building electric cars, get the fuck out of our way!" so I think it's pretty on brand for him to be saying what he's saying. The man demands

So what is the plan for re-opening then? If we continue to shelter in place we just push the curve out instead of flattening it. We need to start reintroducing people to society at a measured pace to actually flatten it. Don’t misunders

You know, for all the nerding out about how package managers do their work and how “correct” they are, they all still pale in comparison to how easy and intuitive homebrew is to use. I’m running Linux and pacman/yay are great but if so

That’s a load of crap sales folks tell their leaders. Who’s out there measuring that the value created by this strategy exceeds the value sitting on the sidelines because it grinds their gears? Maybe it doesn’t? I’m sure a lot of people tha
