I've worked at places where my supervisor had root access both ssh and a user account, and we also allowed each other to ssh in for various reasons. No one has ever been allowed on my workstation as me, though. Hard line.

That is an interesting thought. We tend think of that law in terms of raw energy, but the inertia of society is no exception. We see this over and over whenever anybody goes on strike. Business grind to a halt. Sometimes entire industries.
