Really like this article. I'm hoping more people write about what's different about SV now, than in the past. I assume it has a lot to do with the 2008 wall street crash, and a lot of the people who'd normally have gone to w

I get asked, but once I say no, I haven't gotten prompted again. And if you accidentally click yes, it even has a section in the 'safety check' section that will have a list of sites sending you too many notifications. Also,

I'd have expected no less, since Chrome already protects the notification noise by default, too. You have to opt in to notifications. Sounds like a slightly different implementation for iOS, which is interesting in that they're a

As a hiring manager, I wouldn't even ask a question around departing an old company, whether they were laid-off or not. I'd have questions that were more along the line: "what will you miss from your old company, work day, et

Le Carre is definitely more on the literary side, and was likely a big influence in the history of the genre. Also, he was an actual spy, I believe at one point in his career.

I'm skeptical, too, since a lot of things shot on film still went through a digital intermediate. I think this is more about overall production aesthetic/budget/execution, than a film v. digital.

My main comment was about Bonuses, btw. which, as I stated aren't guaranteed and are typically paid when companies are doing well. Options and even RSUs only have value if they go up above initial grant or strike price.

Sounds like you have a common mis-conception that a lot of people who entered the workforce after 2008 have: that bonuses are a given, and part of your salary. Lot's o' people this year won't be getting their bonuses because
