17 years is a rookie number. Take C# auto-properties, for example: 19 years ago! Now try asking, "When did Java get auto-properties?"

Sorry I only just set -xXx360NoScopexXx=4G to run that latest version without hitting OOM and you are right, it is indeed quite fast with G1.

+1 for Kagi, even if Maps and Shopping and Images aren’t as good as Google (tbh their Images search is good enough 8/10 times) they’ve got the actual web search stuff working quite well.

I'm always hesitant to trust these things after one of them turned off CRL checking because external connectivity = bad!!1

Not to shit on their effort or anything, but it looks like a VS Code fork + an agent panel which is very ... late 2024 energy?

I bet those decade+ sites have been silently upgraded to TLS 1.3 too! Where are the complaints for that?

My completely unfounded pet theory is that it’s been ruined by the masses. Claude Code in the hands of normies spamming “3” and “y” to send their transcripts to Anthropic. Rated “3” simply because they are not software developers and are ju

I rawdog Claude Code with --dangerously-skip-permissions and the only fucky wucky it's made is invoking git checkout wrong and losing some code in the working tree. It has done this thrice, the first two times I caught it in the act an

I think HP had a big investment in Itanium and even sued Oracle to get them to keep supporting Itanium (they had contractually agreed to it, but Itanium was such a dead end...)

I feel Claude Code has added (and removed?) a feature that forks a subagent from the parent context, so it’s still isolated but it’s more of a continuation of what you were doing in one narrow direction and then it dies. Rather than a blank

The harness is super important, what tools are available and the system prompts vary from harness to harness. Anthropic seems to have a modest lead on their harness and models, so it’s a best-of-both-worlds scenario. > I'm not sure

So I got turned off the OpenAI form because it’s pretty heavily geared towards “enterprise” which I’m not. But I’ll have a stab at it later. What’s the equivalent form for Anthropic please? The closest I got from Google was Claude Security’

I don't know what the solution to this is, but I find it somewhat unfair that I pay money to Anthropic, and I pay money to OpenAI, and neither of them will let me use their best models for securing the software I work on. Admittedly
