I'd never heard of OSSU, thanks. The maths courses linked in that are good, too.

Latest ios. Chrome 70.0.3538.75. It’s a little better in chrome than ff, but when I pan up and down in chrome it jumps.

Very jumpy on my iphone with firefox or chrome, sadly. Okay with safari. I suspect it’s the shoddy version of webkit apple forces upon moz and google. Nice effort. I applaud any efforts to make a dependency free anything in js.

I’m ignorant to golang’s generics saga, but I’m painfully familiar with Java’s (to the point where I wasn’t overly sad when golang didn’t have them). Can anyone explain what golang is doing better?

I use Firefox’s tools. The console as a tiny editor is cool. I think Chrome has a better network timeline/waterfall and performance monitor thing. But I only use those occasionally.

Do you wonder if at least a few people are nervous? Some members of my family are straight-out racist. But then a few have said they prefer not buying goods from British Indians in my hometown because they feel somehow uncomfortable, yet bo

It's a nice gesture but it's silly. There are multiple definitions of 'master'. This has no connotation with master and slave. My other branches are not someone inferior to the master branch, and the master branch does n

Just to clarify, antifa became an issue after trump started quoting a twitter antifa account, which was run by a right wing, white supremacy guy. It is a good example of social media being used to radicalise the right wing, in fact.

Thanks. I'd never heard of that law before. I think he's serious. I'll appreciate his work both pre and pos civilisation collapse. I like his software aesthetic too. Maybe I'm getting old, maybe I'm seeking more con

I love this project. Thank you for posting it. The idea of a post collapse operating system reminds me of slackware/subgenius’s old slogan: “...the world ends tomorrow and you may die!” I’ll be trying to compile collapseos, write forth

Free speech balances delicately, and that should be debated vigorously, but it should not be treated as an absolute. You shouldn't be free to incite violence. Nor should a company help that speech spread.

The main thing I loved about suckless and missed on OS X was DWM. Dealing with windows, even with the tiling aspects, hammerspoon to automate things, and playing around with configs to turn off all the animation, on OS X I was still much mo

I wish there were gui pipes. Pipes are wonderful but they’re neither interactive nor continuous. Pipes that loop, outputting a declarative gui text format, and listen for events from the gui, would be marvellous. I can’t think how to do tha

I applaud the effort. Though more sophisticated foreign actors manipulate through nominally independent media outlets, it's at least a start.

How much do foreign actors help? There are, of course, US groups that want to attack these sites. But bigger pocketed foreign actors will want, it's suggested, to spread division and mayhem to keep the US occupied. That is, the Aleksan

Thanks. The whirlwind of changing benefits of various frameworks can be rather confusing. I do wonder how much this matters for most apps and at what cost of complexity it brings. But advancements in the field is a obvious good thing.

So React needs VirtualDOM? Do people want React not to be dependent on VirtualDOM. Is there a reason/benefit?

VirtualDOM allowed you to update the dom with better performance than before. Is there now a better technique? Why is it better than VirtualDOM?
