As a counterpoint from someone who's been daily driving Arc since this summer: 1) Most sites are designed for Chrome these days, and our customers also use Chrome or Edge. I get not wanting to support Google itself, but Chromium has be

Imagine all the schools with Chromebooks deployed, suddenly there's an option for their own IT staff to easily replace broken parts instead of buying new Chromebooks or sending them elsewhere to repair. Decent market for that.

I think most people know but don't care. Their search history, photos, and email are knowingly stored by Google, but it doesn't impact them. You would need a rogue employee or a massive breach to make people care, I think.

I'm sorry, but after seeing numerous self driving cars plow into people and no clear testing about what's safe when the platform already provides instant access to a live human, I'm really worried about technologies like this

I think they care more about being a tech demo and positive press for OpenAI. There's no advantage here, only risk. Not to mention I imagine the carbon cost of pushing this through AI is much higher than just using humans.

Did they ever add actual vertical tab support? When they migrated to webextensions TreeStyleTabs was pretty hamstrung because it couldn't replace the actual tab UI anymore.

W4Games, owned by one of the core developers of Godot, will happily license a plugin module that allows you to do console export. So there's no difference here, it's just a plugin instead of part of the engine itself.

I mean, maybe. We've seen similar things in music. But AI isn't a person. You won't find a person that spends every waking moment of their life only studying the works of a specific author, they have lived experience.

This is WSL version 2.0 which contains WSL 1 and WSL 2, and though it's a Windows Subsystem for Linux it's actually a Linux Subsystem for Windows. How are they so bad at naming things?

They already did that during the Improbable debacle, and attempted to undo that safeguard here by sneaking in a retraction in a terms of service change months ago.

Source 2 has been out since 2015, with tooling, but so far I think the only third-party licensee is S&ndbox. It's not so much a modern game creation platform as it is a collection of Valve's internal tools. Also from a technol
