You're saying that as if it's not true How many languages are there released by advertising companies? Just to show the influence, python was an obscure programming language until Google started using it.

You can always stop upgrading and join the python2.7 crowd (apparently not as big as it appeared it would be a few years ago).

That's because iptables do layer 3 load balancing (on a kernel level) while HAProxy does layer 7 (on user level). Layer 3 load balancing is much simpler so there's less work to do. If layer 3 load balancing does work for your use

Why you chose Nginx over HAProxy? I see a lot of people preferring Nginx, but I can't understand why they are so fascinated about it and try to squeeze it where it has no place. Nginx is just a web server that has some load balancing f

You were talking about 2018-2019 though. The 2017-2018 was an outlier and it is misleading to use it as an example of typical flu.

I think SARS was what motivated these countries to be prepared and it paid off. On the other side of the world it was complete lack of leadership and even dismantling of the preparation efforts that were taken earlier.

There are many strains of corona virus as well, most of them cause a simple cold. We are not comparing COVID-19 to a common cold.

Not sure where you get 70,000. On average it's 16,000 - 40,000 per year, there was a really bad flu on 2017-2018, which killed about 61,000 people, but on 2018-2019 it killed 34,000[1]. Anyway, your point stands, but there are people w
