So maybe that's the issue I'm having. I spent may entire career trying to eliminate such code as much as I can, so then having copilot write code that I have to fix on almost every step. I frequently have to look for subtle issues

AFAIK the 8.0 release is one where Oracle breaks compatibility. So anyone considering MariaDB needs to switch before going to 8.0, otherwise switching will be much more painful.

I'm confused, isn't the Manifest V3 essentially just API spec?

Can redis essentially be replaced with postgresql with unlogged tables or memcached (if you really wanted pure caching)?

There is S/MIME, but probably biggest thing that stopped its adoption was popularity of web mail (so yes, Google and others).

As someone who used Internet in the 90s I don't follow. There was almost nothing encrypted. SSL/TLS was introduced for POP3/IMAP, but I don't think that was bad.

What's the difference between Nix and Lix? The website is still not entirely clear. I mean as an user, why would I want to use it (besides avoiding this vulnerability)

I used month or two, because that's what OP used and that seemed ridiculous. Almost like OP tried to make a meme that s/he didn't experience themselves. But anyway, I recently found code that I wrote 15 years ago. And when lo

This is the weird thing. I heard it a lot and I don't know if people just over-exaggerate or maybe I'm just forgetting things quicker, but I don't have that. I come to the code after month or two and it is the same as if I ca

I also noticed when I tried to search for "secure password generation golang" nearly all examples use math/rand. And to make things worse all of them initialize seed with current time just before generating the password. This

So what? The nature of Open Source is that Abduril can use it anyway and it is more whether Nix can get funding to help it become mainstream.

The whole idea behind Open Source is that one does not discriminate. As a Nix user I feel like those people who started this whole drama are actually negative to this project. They are trying to use Nix as a tool for their political goals.
