Shameless self-plug, but I love this greasemonkey script I built and still use it across 3 machines. Pretty much you enter your tags/watchwords and it does a string match. It's very simple (I taught myself jQuery to write it) but I can't li

$1 million will buy you a house, but not anywhere close to the city. You'll be stuck out at Craigeburn, Noble Park etc. With Australia's population boom, the surge will be in apartments, units and townhouses. "Houses" will become a commodit

Today: $1 million will buy you an overwhelmingly average house in an overwhelmingly white bread, middle-class suburb in Melbourne or Sydney. 15 years from now, that million dollars isn't going to mean much at all. Live to be happy now, beca

Investigate "aggressive degradation". It revolves around the principle of not stressing over delivering the same exact functionality - but delivering something that DOES work in its simplest forms. A GIF when a PNG would look nicer. Squared

Holy excessive caps, Batman! Apart from that, I think a lot of those options should be either set to N/A automatically, or some kind of low priority or second round testing. It's comprehensive, I'll give it that; but it's just too visually

Don't worry, you can still use the pay-phones to organise your drug deals. What a terrible thing to take issue with.

Pretty good really. I havn't dabbled with complex animation, but I was building a Visio style workflow editor that worked in IE6, IE7, IE8, Chrome, Safari + Firefox. It has drag + drop and what I believe to be critically missing, the arrow(

I guess a lot of the stigma is associated with the cracks, as well as the warez websites themselves that would constantly infect computers.

This kind of reminds me of the Optimus keyboard by Art Lebedev, but not in the vapour-ware sense. More in the way that any time they post a new screenshot or video I get overly excited, regardless of when they finally have a non-beta releas

Well if they're using RaphaelJS or at least duplicating some of its functionality, then it should default back to VML for IE. I have no idea what VML is really capable of though.

One of the things that has been missing from RaphaelJS that annoyed me was the arrow function. They even mention it in their documentation, but as an empty function. I finally got my version working so I will hopefully post it on HN later t

As much as this isn't my problem, there are fixes that jQuery UI could implement such as native dblclick and special jQuery events such as triple click that could be used to stop text selection.
