Lets just say EU is not very family friendly compared to individual states. I do not think this discussion belongs on HN. Just pointing BS in this law.

Netflix produces garbage, because they want garbage. Imagine there would be some AI that produces movies. Some interesting person (war veteran) would tell it its story, did a few iterations and corrections, and in a month would have a decen

I think AI democratizes writing and "content production". Now anyone can produce good texts. That includes uneducated migrants and half autistic programmers.

Women are more likely to stay at home with kids. They need more flexibility. One of main arguments for four-day week.

I always take first layoff offer I get. Free salary for couple of months. I have no trouble to find new gig... And old job will only go downhill with more workload, paycuts and less generous layoff offers.

On paper it seems nice, but in reality it will just decrease salaries and people will have to work two jobs for the same money. Better to support work from home. It should be considered misogynistic and "anti green", if employer d

For me (as opensource dev) his biggest mistake was to make a library that "just worked" and was completely invisible. I think we will see way more "advertising" on a log messages. I am also not going to publish unit test

I am sort of happy. Mexico, South America and other locations were getting pretty expensive for obvious reasons. My job will be mostly unaffected, but my living expenses (as DN) will be greatly reduced.

You do not get it. Senior would be the one who buys a gun, and who pulls the trigger. I have no problem to help someone to dispatch themselfs, but I would not risk my neck in process. This charade with dry fast is way more risky for care g

Information in that article are just wrong. This is not some voluntary peaceful departure, but very slow and painful process. Look into death by dehydration.

Why would I do that? On 4th day person would get fewer, passes out... Skin tone changes... Everyone would be able to see this was not normal death. Coroner will have question why you did not call an ambulance... and left him there for days.

I done 2 day dry fast and 3 week water fast. I know something about this stuff. It is VERY painful and stupid. If relative asked me to help with this, I would just get an illegal gun with all the risks. Much safer! I am pretty sure in my co

This is some next level abuse, comparable to drinking pesticides to "fix" illness! Dying from dehydration is quite painful. And there is big chance person will not finish it. They "give up" on giving up (pun intended) an

In reality you got like 10% salary boost. Just take it and be happy, or send that money to people in Africa. There is no need to make it personal.

I read somewhere that actual data model behind ChatGPT has like 500GB. Why bothering with jailbreak, and not run your own instance? It should be freely available in a few months or years.

Backpack with such battery would weight a ton, and would add to discomfort. And inductive charging under arse would have terrible safety. Much easier is to have plumbing in suit, and just plugin to heat exchanger pump on every location.

Some dirt in charging port may increase resistance between surfaces, create more heat and even arc. Ports probably got welded together.
