Copilot is branding, not a product or feature. Problem is that the features/products that run under that branding don't have proper names themselves and I guess that's what trips up a lot of people.

What kind of stuff are you doing that you need many CSS/JS hacks nowadays?

From which point on? After login? I guess a fair comparison would need the exact same reference point before the OS is involved, e.g. once post is done or you pressed the power button.

DeepL is an AI-backed translator. If I use it to help me write my documentation, how is it different?

That's precisely my point. What does "AI-backed" mean exactly? The RFC doesn't ban LLM, but "AI-backed" contributions. Technically from my understanding and interpretation DeepL would fall under that category a

But DeepL is fine apparently (as it should be in my opinion) so I guess this is going to be a random dice roll what maintainers will allow or not. I can understand the sentiment behind this proposal, but it is way too nuanced and complicate

Why would a college student be an interesting target simply for being a college student in an interesting field? If they work at an interesting company or something like that I would understand, but the knowledge that is accessible in colle

That's the message they got in summer 2023 when iOS 16.6 was the most recent one.

Maybe my thinking is a bit naive, but I would assume that the message signals that Apple found a new way to identify (and therefore maybe neutralize) Pegasus which is probably at least a medium annoyance to them.

That person already got targeted last summer. I doubt they are as uninteresting as they believe/claim to be.

If someone is interested how the message actually looks like, a user on reddit posted it and a previous version from 2023 (although it doesn't include everything): https://www.reddit.com/r/iphone/comments/

That is rather naive thinking. Making up a misleading identity is probably one of the first things someone with such a long term plan would do.

But that only works if you stick to old majors. At this point Sonoma is out for almost 6 months, so even if you waited a few months to upgrade to Sonoma you are out of luck now. You are either stuck on 14.3 without security fixes or you upg

It is different. The cross-site navigation flag is a couple of years old. It was enabled by default for iOS in November 2018 for example https://github.com/WebKit/WebKit/commit/e191fc8c412850cb9fd0...

I also checked on my iPhone which I just upgraded to 17.1 and the flag is present and already enabled there as well. Edit: Seems like I got confused by the other very similar feature flag as well.
