I really-really hope you are not relying on Docker only when protecting 19G of data. Docker volume operations are the equivalent of playing with sudo rm -rf, shit's going to happen once in a while.

The difference is standardization. Postgres can be installed in subdirectories nicely, as you say -- if you know how. Same is true for JBoss, CI build agent, whatever. Now if you have dozens of these apps then e.g. onboarding people in a re

First of all, make sure that the management itself is aligned. Patterns reproduce themselves across the organization and that process is mostly top->down. Have your most important values written down. Technical and non-technical. Ask new

1) WhatsApp didn't make too much revenue out of those 1 dollars. Most people never paid. 2) If you're willing to pay a dollar per month for search then you are much more valuable to advertisers than most people, so 1 dollar won&#x

I developed a pretty bad pollen allergy around the age of 30. Every spring I had to take antihistamines that helped a bit (not completely), but they made me either anxious or sleepy. Then just for fun I made a bet with a friend of mine -- I

Now the big question: what determines how your boss behaves. You can bet that it's not just how nice or competent she is. She also has a boss, etc. So your boss is someone who really affects your well being, but it's not completel

One of the best thing in working remotely is that I don't have to wear shoes. I could work very productively without these routines; the problem was that I could not switch off.

But hey, most developers don't sit in coffee shops :) they are sitting in offices, mostly working on proprietary software that is making hundreds of millions of dollars per year for the company.
