Good on them for doing a relatively detailed, honest and public review like this. But goddamn that recovery time is absolutely unacceptable for a modern mission-critical product like this, especially since they've essentially forced ev

Having dealt with the pre and post sales support quite extensively over the years, I always got the impression they were a big fish in way over it's head, and with a tail that didn't work so good.

I sort of disagree on two things; 1. Video games, in moderation can be beneficial for focus in much the same way reading a book can. You have to concentrate on a single task for an extended period of time, and lack of concentration is often

On the topic of ADHD, I would STRONGLY recommend getting a second opinion of any diagnosis especially as an adult. Doctors seem to be very trigger happy when it comes to medication for ADHD and it's not always necessary. If you can aff

Strangers have always been able to cause notifications to appear on your phone - notifications for SMS, social media, calls, email etc can all originate from people you don't know.

AFAIK, this has been possible with Azure AD for a while. I think the service on Apple's end was called something like Apple for Business and you could cut a cert from it to link to Intune (an MDM) and get pre-enrolled devices directly

FWIW, I've been using a Samsung S65U monitor which has a built in USB hub, Ethernet, audio out and connects downstream via USB-C with something like 90w power delivery (it might be 65w, can't remember). So far after a couple of mo

That point about cutting back on food before entertainment definitely rings true. Back when I first moved out of home I'd do EXACTLY that - huge TV, games consoles, flashy computer etc but also eating 2 minute noodles, and chickpeas or

I have to say, as someone who used to work in a supermarket during high school, Aldi looks like it would be a pretty good place to work in addition to the decent pay. All the cashiers have seats, and all they really have to do (at least in

I feel like I might be alone in this, but I find Github + some markdown docs organised into folders to be perfectly fine. Redirect a personal domain to your github repo if you really want, I personally don't bother. People can clone&#x

I don't agree with what MS is doing here, but "I don't like being asked to use a different browser" is going to be a hard sell to your employer if they don't already have Macs as standard. If they do offer Macs thou

I STRONGLY prefer my work to be as isolated as possible. I don't want work invading my real-life spaces - not in my living room, my study, my kitchen, or any other non-work related place I may go. Work is just work, it's the thing

Where I'm from, we already make a bit of a game out of trying to get a "high score" on the BAC checkers that are at most pubs - and that costs money. I can 100% see this turning into a game for a lot of people (me included, i
