I agree about that. I think a nice balance would be localized meetups to watch the conference or an after hours event where you can discuss the content of the talks over a pint or hitting a few golf balls or something.

Not everybody's company is going to pay for a license if they already are licensing Visual Studio for everyone. As an individual, I only have a little bit of time to tinker with personal projects, and while I like C#/.NET so far,

I’d much prefer Microsoft buying a studio right now than Sony. When Sony buys a studio, I’m required to buy a $500 box and pay $70 to play future games from them. Microsoft lets me play it on PC or stream it for $10 or $15 a month. The low

Training up new/junior staff is the one area where I do think having some in-person collaboration is immensely valuable. But you can do this in bursts with certain team members and not have to require everyone to be in-person.

Sounds like the author is writing this article based on his own ineffectiveness at working remotely. It's true that video calls can be more draining than an in-person meeting - if you have nothing but meetings on your calendar all day.

This is an interesting view on it that I hadn't previously considered. But you're right - whereas before a lot of members of the family would prepare food separately and bring it, now there is a lot of use of catering/prepare

I think it is a particularly hard character to build a game around. Danger/conflict for Superman boils down to a binary question - is kryptonite present or not? I think a later Superman game (for the XBox or XBox 360 generation, I beli
