I'm not opposed to limiting car space in favor of people space, but I also see EVs as a solution if the problem is emissions. No need to ban all cars, just gas-powered ones.

This happened to me as well - Comcast tech A gets on our house to disconnect a "noisy line" and doesn't tell us or anyone else about it, requiring me to wait for Comcast tech B to come out and reconnect. And of course we hear

Aren't these devices being targeted at the education sector, where they may be assigned to students? Is there perhaps some design intent here to prevent tampering? One other potential benefit may be less worry about your laptop shipmen

In theory a flywheel should be smaller and virtually maintenance free. Or maybe it's just cooler and more expensive.

To be fair on #1, even considering the entire supply chain and lifecycle of an EV vs ICE, the EV comes out WAY ahead of the ICE in terms of carbon impact. Even better if you have solar panels on your roof, or live in a place like California

Tesla has 20-30% gross margins on the Model S and X. They're profitable cars (though the company is not, due to heavy capital investments). Other EVs do seem to be sold at a loss though, because their main purpose isn't to be prof

There's this new game in hot real estate markets where houses are listed intentionally well below market to attract traffic and encourage multiple offers. Here in the Bay Area it's standard operating procedure, and houses are expe

The article says that the new home construction is mostly going to apartments because tight credit means more people are renting. But then laments the low inventory for sale that is driving up prices. So which is it? Too many buyers or too

What occurred to me reading this is that one of the biggest costs to urban farming is the real estate. But with self-driving car-shares on the horizon and potentially much lower needs for parking structures, perhaps this might be a good way

You are stuck with it for that whole term though. You'll be upside down on it immediately, and your loan principal won't catch up to the residual value of the car for 5-6 years with a loan that long. That means you can't easi

There have been rumors of a 'surface phone' that runs Win 10 (not mobile) for a couple years now. Most expected some kind of future Intel chip to enable that, but ARM support certainly opens up the possibility. Just what Windows p
