> decentralised applications will be the new iPhone. What makes you think that? Genuinely curious. I can think of lots of reasons that the opposite might be true, so I’m curious as to what my blind spots may be.

I'm amazed at the number of people in this thread who are annoyed that someone would insert mention of a carbon capture initiative into an unrelated discussion. The author is clearly tired of answering the same question, as stated in t

The alternative you provide is still speciesist to a degree. I like the suggestion in a sibling comment to this one which avoids referring to any animals, though.

While I haven’t read it, my therapist wife loved No Bad Parts. Giving this one a +1 on her behalf.

It’s okay if you don’t want to read about any form of assault. It sounds like what you experienced was traumatizing and it makes sense that you’d not only want to avoid it, but also why you’d be wary of anyone saying they can understand you

I think I feel similarly, to be honest. While I don't think I'd be less likely to buy something I wanted if an in-app purchase wasn't available, I've always been thankful when I realized I bought something or set up a su

Why do you take it to mean that people who use a dating app are somewhat dumb? I can’t understand how you’d think that from Tinder misclassifying a photo

I get why this would be incredibly annoying to a nudist, but I can’t really see a path forward that works for nudists and non nudists in this context.

I don’t think anyone really cares about that kind of stuff, though. Like, there are loads of examples of similar things which no one (rightfully) bags an eye at. Like if I take a photograph of you out in the public and sell the photo for $1

I’ve found that the best browsing for me has been a result of disabling HTML and CSS as well. No errors, 0 load time, accessible to anyone even if they don’t have a computer or internet connection. Websites built without JS is cute but if y

Yeah I know, I wasn’t saying we do live in that world. I’m continuing to say that _wanting_ to live in that world isn’t childish. Wanting to live in a world where we are all handed food, medicine, shelter, etc. for free seems like something
