To be news. I can understand if you missed that, it's not very obvious from visiting the home page.

Yes, because ratio is the only thing that matters. Decompression speed doesn't matter at all. Who cares if Zstd is 9 times faster?

It's not HN job to entertain you. Someone wrote some software they thought was useful, so they are sharing it. If you don't like it down vote and move on. Get off your high horse.

Understood. However what you're saying is quite different from the other user, who was saying "Everything has to be in the browser now".

Personally Ive never cared about the performance aspect. If you care about that, you probably shouldn't be targetting the browser in the first place, but instead a native app. What has always turned me off about WASM, is that all the t

Go has been doing same thing for a decade now: https://godocs.io/flag Personally I'm fine with it. The whole, "let's combine 5 letter options into one string", always smacked of excess code golf to me.

I think climate change is real, but I completely agree with your position here. Big Ag is just using climate change as a scapegoat, in order to maintain the status quo of sucking the lakes dry.

It seems you fail to understand what class means. Regardless of what you think it means, you're using it wrong. The command given in the example is: - not a regex - not a class of regex - not a part of regex in general
