Grok got to hold the top spot of LMArena-text for all of ~24 hours, good for them [1]. With stylecontrol enabled, that is. Without stylecontrol, gemini held the fort. [1] https://lmarena.ai/leaderboard/text

One percentage point is not significant, neither in the colloquial nor the scientific sense[1]. [1] Binomial formula gives a confidence interval of 3.7%, using p=0.77, N=500, confidence=95%

It's analogous to how politicians nowadays are constantly saying "let me be clear", it drives me nuts.

Indeed, the galaxy brain move here would be to make a game about game design, that itself follows its own principles.

This math doesn't always hold up to common sense, as these ratios will explode when E hovers around zero, but it has a very small effect on the business itself.

That's a great website! Feature request: a button to toggle all the sliders left or right at the same time - would make it easier to glance the results without lots of finicky mouse moves.

Isn't it because the webcam FOV is unknown, which is needed to estimate distance from pixel (along with face size, but that should be less variant). The three.js demo had the strength parameter that can be used to calibrate. The iphone

What do you base this on? I use it in all my products and I don't see why any performance-sensitive dev outfit wouldn't at least consider using it.

I've never heard of a middle manager that fixes errors in other employees' output. Sounds more like a senior developer or creative (which, in fairness, is often a type of low-level manager).

But is it really a cpu issue? For example, the intel macs don't have that problem at all IME.

This game could have been made in a number of other no-code/lo-code environments, from Shockwave in 1995 to Unity visual scripting today. LLMs may enable more open-ended game design than those tools, but this game is not proof of that.

An interesting mechanical analogy! In this example, the "integration" is done by the eye and perhaps by the LEDs depending on their type. But it's more akin to the Gabor Transform than Fourier, as there is locality in time.

Not necessarily disagreeing, but Denmark's grid is integrated with europe. If the rest of europe catches up with Denmark in wind power, that will definitely be a challenge, since wind speeds are correlated across the continent. Not uns

Norway has all the power it needs from hydro. But exporting electricity is good, since it will help europeans get off fossil fuels. And the north sea is pretty windy, so it's a good place for windmills [1]. Nuclear would also be good,

I'd say that this a missing feature from macOS that windows has had for 30 years already. I believe apple prohibits it for "security" reasons. But there are a number of open source solutions as well, I mainly use BlackHole:

No doubt the math checks out, but I wonder if developer productivity can be quantified that easily. I believe there's a lot of research pointing to people having a somewhat fixed amount of cognitive capacity available per day, and that

Interesting! Depending on your definition, "automated invention" has been a thing since at least the 1990's. An early success was the evolved antenna [1]. 1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolved_antenna
