Okay, which state actor is going to buy this for $100,000? How are you going to sell it to them? What's the risk of getting caught? Even if someone on telegram was telling me that Russia would buy this information for $100,000, I think

People keep talking about this as if there's a 0% chance of being caught if you do this?. So let's suppose that you did set up the service like this. Can you even make 10 K? What are your odds of getting caught? How much do you va

Who are you advertising to? What is the risk of getting caught or getting scammed back while trying to receive your payment? I feel like you are just taking into account the theoretical max value of a bad actor having these accounts, not t

I think a simple way to think of it is: how much would an adversarial nation state buy this exploit for? I just don't think Russia would be willing to pay $100,000 to get Mr. Beast's email address, even if that sounds tempting to

They didn't have to do this. They didn't even acquire Pebble outright, they acquired it through Fitbit, and Pebble was just a part of Fitbit's portfolio from a previous acquisition.

Not the parent commenter but not always. 9 pool just means you build a spawning pool at your main, for instance. This worker-prefix building build-order naming system also breaks down once people start referencing builds like 2 rax academy,

Uhh... that's kind of how these algorithms work. I presume you interact (i.e. don't scroll past) with a lot of the English posts. It's going to index on that and show you more English content. When I'm abroad, I might se

What a truly insane take. Do you honestly think the Chinese government looks out more for your interests as an American citizen? The fact that you couldn't make the reverse claim in China without being censored speaks volumes.

I feel the same way but with cheaper Japanese ball pens, my favorite being. I do have to disagree that a Bic Cristal feels "smooth" though. I think it doesn't glide as well as your average Japanese offerings although it does

Did you read the article? The South Koreans couldn't decipher the content due to the extent of the damage and sent the black box over to the US. Do you think they colluded? Please take off your tinfoil hat on the way out.

I find Fortnite to have a much more reasonable monetization pattern compared to literally all other games that children play nowadays (Genshin and Roblox being the two most problematic). I also love that Epic is the only attempt at breaking

It's also the OG kimchi as Koreans didn't have red peppers until the Columbian Exchange (but have been preserving vegetable via brines since the Three Kingdoms era)!

Both would reduce demand so a sharp drop off would still be fairly realistic. Of course, getting anything done at the federal would be impossible in the US today.

Not to mention it was some idiot who threw firecrackers in a Waymo. I don't think this person made a super calculated decision.

To me, it seems unlikely that a singular, blatantly illegal service that is > 10% as popular as Netflix would go unnoticed by the legal authorities. And given the comments below indicating that it was a mistranslation, it's a moot p

Obviously a lot of factors are at play for SaaS pricing but that would mean it would be worth at least around 50 billion USD in market cap if it were a legitimate business. Seems highly unlikely.

There's no way that they were netting 250MM EUR per month. Just think of that number. That's 3 BILLION EUR per year! Putting that into perspective, Gitlab is on track to do around just 580MM USD this year and is valued at 8 billio
