I like the uBlock Origin philosophy: > DNT is essentially acknowledging that a 3rd-party is the one in control of your privacy in the 1st place, and you have to resort to asking this 3rd-party -- which has financial (or whatever) interes

But surveillance can hurt productivity, too. YouTube, for example, is really good at predicting which videos I will find interesting, and I end up wasting a lot of time. When I started using Invidious, which doesn’t track your watch histo

YouTuber Shawn Woods posts weekly videos on mousetraps. He has done much to educate people on humane ways to trap and kill pests, and condemns the use of traps which prolong suffering, such as sticky traps. He has had years of struggles wit

There’s a video on YouTube with three full-width explanation points as the title. I watched it once, and although it wasn’t particularly interesting, it bugs me that I cannot find it again.

I recommend running your own DNS resolver, so that you don’t have to trust any 3rd party server with your DNS traffic. I run Unbound (a DNS resolver) alongside Pi-hole on a dedicated raspberry pi for my home network.
