With GCC adding Rust support there is no longer one "official" compiler. In many people's eyes GCC will be considered "the" Rust compiler. If Rust wants to supplant C in embedded, a specification is required. I'

I agree. There's a popular roguelike which is hosted on GitLab (called Infra Arcana) and it's not always easy for people to find it, nor to find the equivalent of GitHub's Releases page.

Upon searching I find there are at least 4 popular commandline interfaces, 3 of which are called "lab". Sorry. I'm pretty sure we use this one: https://zaquestion.github.io/lab/

Think of this the other way around. Do you want to work for a company who equates "GitHub" with coding and doesn't know what GitLab is? I wouldn't.

I honestly find MR in web interface has sucked in every platform I've tried. Use the `lab` commandline tool, it's good and makes managing MRs really easy.

Solve real problems. Nothing provides motivation like needing to solve something for someone else. If you feel you don't have access to real problems, go and work for tech support a bit. You'll get them eventually.

I have a couple of personal servers I run on Ubuntu. I've used Alpine before and it's fine, but I want proper bash and full tools which is tedious to setup, and it doesn't do release upgrades automatically. Sometimes they mak

Sorry, your project doesn't have a .io domain, it must be of poor quality. Or would you rather I look at the what it does, its contributor guide, release history, roadmap, tests, etc instead of some arbitrary cosmetic value?

I've tried SO many it's not funny. I've settled on Markdown notes in Dropbox, edited with vim. On Android I do this with FolderSync and vim in Termux.

I tried this a long time ago and it didn't do what I was after. I looked again and it's grown a lot. I'll try it again. Thanks for the suggestion.

At what point are BSD people going to realise they've lifted so much code from Linux they're basically running Linux? Permissive licenses work so well they'd still be stuck in the 90s if not for Linux ports

The second solution on this page probably isn't reliable, because hwmon paths like `hwmon3` depend on module load order. That's likely the same reason for the `card*` workaround mentioned above. I am using thinkfan for this and it
