My 15 year old Sony LCD TV is built like a brick, and has never had an issue (nor a firmware update). Meanwhile, my 6 month old Sony OLED Smart TV has given me nothing but grief. Recently had to replace the entire OLED panel — understandabl

I used to love playing my family Atari 2600 as a 5 year old kid. Here’s the same Atari, 40 years on (in original condition) being played by my own 4 and 5 year old kids! https://twitter.com/sunpazed/status/13328329

Great work! There’s a typo on the 6502 page, DNC should be DEC for the Accumulator. Started coding asm on the c64 as 10 year old kid. Would have loved resources like this! https://github.com/hackclub/some-assembly-requi

I forgot to mention, there is no sounds, no jingle, no logo when operating the television — which is refreshing given that my LG and Samsung appliances are constantly jingling for my attention and engagement.

I recently purchased a Sony A90J after owning a “dumb” TV for over a decade. I was pleased to see that there was a “TV only” option that did not require me to use any of the “Smart” TV features. In fact, given I can control the TV through m

What an awesome explainer! I love mechanical watches. I have a relatively cheap Stowa Antea which runs a simple hand-wound Peseux/ETA 7001. It’s so thin, the entire watch is less than 7mm thick. All of what you see in this explainer is

I’ve been building free Garmin apps and watch-faces since 2016. Any developer can download the ConnectIQ SDK and freely publish an app or watch-face in the Garmin App Store. Does not require any license to build, install or publish an app.

Congratulations and nice work! I build a baby-name webapp when we were expecting our second child a few years ago. Random rolls were fun and filter by rarity, etc http://peanutapp.herokuapp.com/

Wow! This is great. Reminds me a pop-up book from 1984 (which I still own) https://youtu.be/2NueRKhEwvY The pop-up models were awesome, and explained the inner workings of a digital computer. It’s how I learnt to count in b

I’ve used Gatsby for generating my wife’s static blog. It’s as simple as adding a new Markdown file, and building. The React workflow makes customising layouts and interactions much easier for those familiar with the ecosystem. For anything

As a keyboard jockey, you’re liable to get RSI, as I did — as such, I’ve been using a fountain pen for nearly 20 years. You use much less pressure when writing, and it’s great using a pen that you don’t have to throw away. My two Lamy 2000’

I personally own the 2014 15" MBP — and would agree with the post. My work–issued 2017 13" MBP requires 2x dongles to run a dual screen setup — at a total cost of $240 — which is just ridiculous. And I have to carry one everywhe
