With the push in the design community to create some sort of replacement for psd comps, I could see a new file type becoming accepted. The problem is that web design inevitably ends up in pixels, and I will always have to move to that level

There does need to be a good OSS equivalent of the mac's user interface to allow for people to jump ship. Not graphically styled the same, but the actual UX. Everything out there is based on Windows' taskbar style of [window > applicati

The problem with that is Apple is a consumer-facing company, and one that targets a subset of early-adopters in VALS known as "experiencers." This specific psychographic is well known for spending money on products with social cache. This s

With such a wealth of information available, to dive in one only needs the hardest things: a path and a reason. Anybody have insight into how to actualize these nuggets into some semblance of a self-learning course?

Mobile is completely dominated by WebKit. Chrome's process model, JS engine and, well chrome , are really the only things that separate it from Safari, meaning that Chrome's gains on mobile are fairly moot, since the engine's used in iOS,

Absolutely, I try and keep about a 2k float, but aim on building that higher. And my car did just break down hard enough for it to be junked.

I've had this argument with my parents on saving for retirement vs paying off loans. It would seem like one would prioritize savings, but due to the variance in interest, the net gain is in favor of paying off high interest loans vs buildin

Anybody in the hard sciences was pretty competent, except for a couple of HTML-related issues. Fine arts, education, sociology, and just students in general, however... And I say that with an art degree, too.

Correct. ClickToFlash's default (AFAIK) setting is to allow 1x1 and 0x0 flash items to load in the background. At least, that's how I think it operates. I block everything, and press command-control-f when a site doesn't work properly.
