If you're the Air Force purchasing around 1700 PS3s, I have to imagine that you're going to have a conversation with Sony at some point. It sucks for Sony that they sell the PS3s at a loss. Do creative accounting and false economies bug any

It's a warning sign when startups have the cash to invest in a domain name before they have traction. Talk about putting the cart before the horse.

Agreed. The blog post was great. We use tender for our support, and I took a quick look at freshdesk. Having tickets with priority, type, building and group are way overkill for us and one of the reasons we left zendesk. I'd encourage you t

I didn't expect the quality of IPOs would go down so quickly. If Rovio can find another sucker to pay for their risk, good for them, bad for the sucker.

It seems that the payment processing and virality would be the two draws of doing it this way. 30 facebook credits is $3. And I guess if I watch it, it tells all my friends? It's an interesting test, and I can see people building real apps

Unsurprising to see them add the preferences to the browser. Your preferences (settings) exist like this in the CR-48 running Chrome OS. This change is probably driven by the desire to standardize both interface and codebase more than anyth

Cool idea! You probably weren't expecting to have an issue like that. In retrospect, having a nice friendly fail page would earn you customer love. Especially on a site relating to how people are feeling.

Why not show Sony that this strategy will not maximize profits? That's a more certain path than expecting the government to do the right thing. Voting with your dollars is the most powerful way that you as an individual can express your opi

This argument is my biggest issue with chrome os. Im all for the browser as the os, but I can't put two tabs side by side. A really common use case is writing an article where you're referencing other online sources. Really easy with a two

Jason, I stumbled upon this last night while googling. Im guessing that leaving this up is deliberate? What's your reasoning for doing so?

B2B isn't as sexy, but in many cases it's a surer way to profitability, albeit without all of the magazine cover hoopla. You may not have 100 million users and burn through millions of dollars before reaching profitability.

Yeah... I've been buying VMWare for my team. After buying it twice online, I started buying it from amazon boxed because it's cheaper than the digital version from VMWare and you can still get the stupid rebate they are currently offering.

The irony of all these comments is the US government actually does pay for a lot of health care costs... "In 2006, 70% of health care spending in Canada was financed by government, versus 46% in the United States." http://en.wikipedia.org/
