Let’s stop the false equivalency. Should more be done for the black community: absolutely. But black people aren’t locked up by the millions in internment camps.

If anything can be considered the canary in the coal mine for a threat to world peace, this is it. Most people alive to day have experienced nothing but an unprecedented period of peace and prosperity. It's easy to take it for granted

Couldn't a person have a biological makeup that predisposes them to experience greater or lesser adversity? If mental disorders are adaptive responses, that doesn't seem to rule out that some people may be more prone to interpreti

I know Apple's walled garden approach isn't for everybody, but I'd personally love to see them make a search engine that isn't built around Ads. The strategy also is consistent with their pursuit of vertical integration.

I agree with you, but I also wonder if balance is somewhat of an anti-pattern. By changing the balance of the game, they're influencing the meta builds and play styles, which keeps things interesting. So in a way, creating imbalances i

I just double checked and Alacritty is indeed much faster still. This issue is probably the single most important feature for me in a terminal emulator, and unfortunately iTerm2 just doesn't cut it yet. On my 5k display, at full screen

Do you have any source for this claim? If anything, the current U.S. administration has been sympathetic to Xi and the Chinese government over this matter.

I agree that prejudice plays a role in the West's view of China, and I'd agree that while China doesn't have democracy, the government has done tremendous good for millions of people. But that being said, what's happenin

Seems a bit unfair. While baldness isn’t deadly, it does still have a huge impact on people’s lives. If it can be cured or rectified, that’s a big win for millions of people.

When your software needs to build on, or run on multiple targets, it's useful to define it in a matrix. Here's an example: https://0-8-0.docs.drone.io/matrix-builds/

What I'd like to see is a CI/CD engine backend. Most CI/CD solutions have relatively the same feature set: - Code builds - Code deploys - Git Hooks - Parallel builds - Matrix builds - Build as configuration - Etc If there wer

Absolutely agree. I think the calls for vegetarianism and veganism can really backfire. It's not realistic to expect everyone to give up meat completely. We should be calling for people _limiting_ their meat consumption in a way that w

Sorry but this is a false equivalence argument. American's belief on healthcare has nothing to do with their beliefs on climate change.

Ah, okay. Well a good compromise might be to go towards Source Hut. I like the name, and sr.ht still works for it. You could also pick up src.ht, which would probably be clearer, and still a short TLD.

I used to do this too, but I think it results in too much scattered focus. What I've done for the last 8 years or so has been really effective, and has reduced my stress quite a bit. Each year, I pick one larger goal that I want to ach
