The trouble with these reactive emotions is that they’re twice removed from reality. You see a tiger in the distance, your body pumps itself with adrenaline and you get ready for fight or flight. But the brain and the body don’t work on abs

Doesn't necessarily need to be hosted, although given that people are fine with running Quickbooks or any other SaaS it's hard to see why they wouldn't be fine with ledger SaaS. Can still make a case for licensing, though, de

That seems like a partial mis-characterization - he did insist that the buyer keep the company as an independent unit and retain all the employees, which is about as much as you can do when you’re selling. And he was likely tired and burnin

Same thing the original Americans did when protesting the massively better trained and armed British Army. Keep their wits about them and keep fighting. If anything the war in Afghanistan has proven that technology is no match for resilienc

The premise is about current chemical propellants and structural components. If you build a rocket out of nanotubes with nuclear propulsion you could go wherever you want from anywhere else. Except black holes.

Yeah, that’s what they give on the iMac Pro as base, so it’s not like they’d never do it. But it’s clear they’re deliberately under configuring the base to force complete customisation, which is what I assume the kinds of people buying this

But aren’t test pilots specially clued on to the plane, the features they’re testing and how to react in problem situations? That’s like testing car airbags with stuntmen who know how to crash without getting hurt anyway.

This assumes the skill variance among pilots is pretty low. Average not in skill (I don’t think there’s a way to rate or rank pilots) but in specialised Boeing plane specific training. The problem with Boeing’s assumption was that pilots wo
