Sadly the journal reference isn't freely available. My first question with these new discoveries is always how much do you need to use to get a reasonable effect. Doses as low as 0.2 microM were effective, 90% lethality, against some of the

The vulnerable part will be the communications. If an enemy can decipher the communication channels then they can send false instructions. Having said this how is it different to the situation today when the soldiers are for the most part

I wasn't doubting the accuracy of the article in claiming the statement was on the reprap site. I was doubting the accuracy of the statement. I don't believe we're unable to manufacture 40% of our proteins.

Currently the project remains some way short of that holy grail. Bowyer estimates that Darwin can replicate about 60% of itself, and he even extends the Darwinian evolutionary metaphor to this figure. According to the RepRap website, "this

This is a really interesting counter-adaptation. I wonder what the mechanism might be. Does it prevent echolocation or is it eliciting a pain response? It would also be interesting to see the counter-adaptation in the bats to this counter

As described I don't really see how the solution proposed handles DoS attacks any better than a lock out after x failed attempts. The key to preventing DoS attacks is that the throttling is specific to a given host so that when the genuine

I would expect they're preserving bacteria at -80 and not growing them at -80. You need very cold temperatures, -80 and storage in liquid nitrogen, to maintain the viability of a bacterial culture during storage.
