I've been steeped in Pylons for several years now. I agree that Pylons has nothing to get excited about. However, (and this is the important part) it provided really straightforward glue to integrate a few other things that are definitely w

Why would they lose credibility? It seems like an ad could be much more profitable than the donation banner, because ads can be targeted, even with zero behavioral history. For example, if I'm visiting a page on the new Tron movie, show m

Why hate on the $15 dude? He's into doing quick designs and he'll probably have a steady stream of work. Do people feel threatened by that?

Can you substantiate that rumor? Taking down Visa.com isn't really a huge deal, but taking down Authorize.net would actually affect a lot of merchants.

Sorry, I'm not saying it's not misguided--just that they're trying to create the impression in Visa's mind that a lot of people are upset.

Has anyone A/B tested the presence of the Olark widget on their site? We're getting ready to roll out Olark on our site, but I'm kind of wondering if it will just increase the support workload without actually improving conversion rate much

Is that a serious question? They're trying to show Visa that there are quite a lot of people who are very upset with them for booting Wikileaks. It may be asinine, but many political demonstrations are.

At a point in time when it was unclear to Paypal whether or not all of the money was fraudulently obtained and was going to be charged back, that action seems perfectly reasonable.

It was a tongue-in-cheek way of pointing out that an entrepreneur needs to be able to wear all hats. Business students like to think that it's 95% business and 5% development. Developers like to think that it's 95% developers and 5% busin

I would love it if this widget eager-loaded the directory structure for a couple levels (doesn't even need to load the commit data) so that it made the navigation to a specific file/folder even faster.
