Very cool. I've seen somewhat similar set ups for fly tying.

I can respect your opinion but we'll just have to disagree. I appreciate you taking the time to explain your position.

"Isn't that incredibly obvious? " I just asserted that it is not. That was my entire point. I'm not sure how you missed it. Your assertion that everyone who doesn't agree with you is a liar is problematic. I recomme

Which makes the whole point of the post I just read moot. I just switch one company that controls my stuff to another company that controls my stuff.

Hosting a server from my house is a violation of the TOS from my ISP. My choices are them or DSL. I don't live in a rural area. I'm well inside a metro area of 5 million people in the USA.

The US is the only place I think I've had to remove shoes for flight security in years. But in Europe taking off a belt is often required while in the US it is not. In Budapest they stopped having us remove laptops from bags a bit ago.

I just spent a week in Chicago - and the lack of a bus lane made buses our last choice. Traffic is terrible so bus travel is egregiously slow compared to the metro or trains. I'm used to Budapest where a bus is a great way to beat traf

I've only observed it from the outside (I worked on an aircraft carrier - but nothing to do with the power plants) but what I observed is that it takes a lot of people that get payed a lot of money in the private sector to safely opera

Yeah - I read it the same way initially and I was really at a loss. When I clicked through I figured it out. I took over some documents from a colleague that left my office and found he had done all his work in word perfect. I was at a loss

One of the strangest feelings I've had is flying from Amsterdam to Johannesburg. It's a super long trip and so mentally I was expecting jet lag. But there was no time change. The season flipped but the time of day was right in syn

As a US expat living in Europe, credit unions are a non-starter from me. Even big banks are not very good. USAA has been the best so far because they are set up to support military folks living over seas. I'm not in the military but I
