There is no way I want to take care of anyone other than my own children, which is enough. I have three children in my house, which is more than enough. Caregivers also spend tons of their own money on care giving, plus trips to the doctor,

I may be in the minority, but the older I get the more I want to be alone. I love my wife and kids, but there is almost too much pressure anymore to do this, do that. There are too many hands on my time. I recharge only when alone. I cannot

Wouldn't fly on anything Chinese, but I adore flying on Bombardier Dash 8/Q series planes. Something magic about turboprops. Always loved flying on C-130s (20+ flights) when I was in the military, too. My other favorite was the ve

Airbus make a superior product anyway. They've gotten FbW down to a science and were the first to use it, as well as glass cockpits. The pilots generally like Airbus planes better. They have better safety controls, more room for the pi

Rust is also fairly nascent. If/when more people use it for serious projects, it will mature and get more features. I've been meaning to start learning it, but life gets in the way.

I live north of Houston. We have more insects, snakes, and critters than most places on earth. Just in my area we have spiders (wolf, black widow, brown recluse, among others), roaches, ants (fire and normal), scorpions, centipedes, mosquit

The baking soda will kill them, too. Orange oil, bay leaves, and baking soda/sugar mix are all non-toxic to humans and animals, and all cheap. And they all work very well. Where I live, the only insects I will not kill are the spiders.

Mix baking soda and sugar together and put them in a bowl. Will kill them dead without toxicity to humans. Boric acid has no resistance. Bay leaves repel about every insect known to man. Roaches hate bay leaves and will not be in the same a

I like BSD-style init scripts; they are easy to work with and understand. I dislike this trend that systemd started. Pretty soon, everything will be a binary blob. This is one of the reasons I love OpenBSD--no binary blobs. OpenBSD runs gre

While what you say is true, OpenBSD is merely based in Canada by dint of Theo de Raadt residing there and being the project lead. Being that open source is more or less borderless, even if he were told to beg off developing crypto, the code
