I find that it's really easy to fall into the trap of skipping the gym because of work demands, until it gets to the point that I'm not going at all. It's really hard to get to the point where you value your own health as much as your work

Speaking as someone who worked closely with Eric at IMVU in those early days, his message is simple but it's not always obvious to the people who start companies. How many times have you heard about entrepreneurs that think they have some g

The landing page design is really pleasing, but I'm curious -- why the nautical theme? I don't necessarily think of the ocean when I think of the word "groove". I absolutely dig the retro vibe, though. One last design thought: Your "Contact

Don't forget apps like Grindr. It's hyper-local, which is a whole new niche in this space.

I'm definitely torn on bootstrapping with consulting. On one hand, it's good to have money coming in until you can take your project full-time. On the other hand, it's really hard to focus on your project when you're at the mercy of clients

Agreed. I'm self-taught and have been working in the industry for 12 years now. The way I got started was that I had a project I needed to do, so I figured out what I needed to know to get it done. The same is true with my iPhone app -- I k

I spent a month in Argentina last year thinking I was going to work on a personal project and got absolutely nothing done, so I can definitely relate. The distractions of foreign places definitely add to the cognitive overhead.

I just finished reading Taubes's latest book, and I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it. I'm putting the science to the test to see how lean I can really get.

This means there's going to be a market for in-car bar equipment! Someone is going to make millions on DC-powered blenders and cup holders that can safely accomodate cocktail shakers. :)

This is huge. I've been mulling some ideas for awhile that would require music fingerprinting, but I've always been too overwhelmed by the available options, from a licensing and implementation standpoint. I can't wait to play with this!! :

I'm not a fan of watching video interviews in general, so I get a lot of value out of listening to the audio versions. Maybe you could give those a shot? They're full of really valuable information.

There's a typo in the Andrew Warner quote. I think you mean "work" instead of "word". :) The concept looks really interesting. Do you think the target market is large enough to make your service profitable?
