Different from what? What do you mean? I'm super confused. A couple hours ago the two top stories were about mark pilgrim having done what looked like an info suicide. I came back here to check on that and the stories are nowhere to be seen

I don't see where I said that I endorsed this state of affairs. I don't care so much if you in specific endorse it. i do care about how it's a line of thought that we hear more and more often. Also, I think you are the one spouting pure

And people will keep finding ways of financing their love (playing music). In fact, I don't know many of my favorite musicians today who make a living from their music. They all work day jobs. I think this new cultural line of thought of

My philosophy teacher was nice enough to allow me to doodle in her classes. She believed it was a positive thing. But - and I never told her - the doodling actually distracted me from the class. I was always lost when I emerged and tried to

The only way was to sneak it under a story about federal law. :) self-solving problems like split ends Could you explain that? I though split ends forced to cut one's long hair regularly.

I've been doing the same, it's been really helpful. My wife has been very patient with me through this. Any day I get up before I feel like I'm ready, my sharpness and work endurance is substantially worse.

Oddly enough it seems like C++ is the only language all three platforms support natively. Indeed. But it's also quite harder than those to develop in. I hate to keep on button-mashing, but it would be a big win to have a PlusPlusScript la

"Obviously it would have to come with some lower level semantics, like memory management." Why? Once again: this approach means zero dependencies. And in a way, you answered it yourself: Might not be fine for real time systems or games

The C++ code it generates depends on a Python runtime, doesn't it? That means you can't use it to write - for example - C++ libraries.

It's just not possible to get it via the means you've described. Why not? it might harder to implement than coffeescript, but ooc is proof that it's possible. Remove GC and dependent libs, and you still have a substancially higher level l

I often wonder why there is so little interest in a high level language that would compile to pure C++, with a syntax that makes code more succinct and friendlier, just like CoffeeScript compiles to JavaScript. We have a clear problem: high

How is it the lottery of indie games? All the games sold on HIB - that I've played - are good, original, well polished games. Some, I believe, are some of the best games ever made, indie or non indie. It wasn't luck that put them in the HIB

Is there any iPhone code scanner that shows the result in an overlay on the camera feed, instead of screen jumping the second it detects something? The latter behavior is obnoxious when playing with QR codes.
