For starting out I'd recommend Clause and Effect by Clocksin. It's a very short but practical introduction with really good examples along the way (including symbolic differentiation and FFT).

Collectivism killed hundreds of million of people in the past century alone. This was also rationalized. Rugged individualism is much less a-social from that perspective.

I'm surprised this is getting downvoted. A lot of my friends are leaving or considering leaving cities exactly for this reason. A lot of small businesses got destroyed in riots as well, and I imagine their owners would be leaving too.

They are accountable to their users. If a company is negligent with user data and their customers actually do care about this issue, this company will either eventually improve or go out of business. And if customers don't deem this
