Racism doesn't require malicious intent. It can arise from simple ignorance. If the algorithm was modeled to include many different races I doubt this would be a problem.

You hand-wave the reasoning of war crimes, yet never provide an explanation. Why are they war crimes? Tear gas is an abortifacient, can be lethal, and can cause fires. What is your definition of "dastardly effect"? Source: http

As an elected representative for them I would probably ask why they're upset and appease their grievances if warranted. Lawless murder and intimidation by the police is a violently oppressive grievance I would consider warranted. Inste

Just imagine living in the neighborhood and watching your child's skin start turning red in the living room. Using war crime weapons on US soil (tear gas is one) is something political leaders have no problem with.

Things I've seen police do at the protests: Tackle calm non-violent citizens and then repeatedly punch them in the head while on top of them, fire teargas into traffic and then slash the tires of vehicles stuck in the protest, severely

It might seem ridiculous in the grand scheme but we don't live on the grand scale anyway. The first world can sacrifice a little bit while demanding change from larger entities.

Micro-management has been institutionalized in much of corporate America while romanticizing "vision" without actually developing one. So you have non-designers enforcing their personal "vision" without cross-team collab

In Oregon it is amazing how effective this program is. You never see cans or bottles as litter. Another effect is it lowers your garbage/recycling bill as homeless will often rummage through your bins for cans/bottles freeing up b

There are already subsidies which incentivize the production of cattle. Just like with corn, if demand goes down, they'll just find a way to use cattle for something else (like turning it into feed or some energy source). The average c

I've found that even "liberal" media is heavily biased to favor corporate sponsors. Sometimes journalists can sneak small (actually) progressive articles through but are often followed up by large front-page hit pieces on tho

Are you referring to the outside agitators from Vancouver, Washington that drive through downtown shooting random citizens with paintball guns and bear spray? Or the outside agitators in the DHS, Border Patrol?

As a resident of Portland, I see police and federal agents disregard judge orders And break laws every single night. Law and order is a myth that is pushed by those seemingly "above" it.

Pretty hyperbolic statement. America (the federal entity) might be in danger of survival long-term but humanity has survived much worse. You don't even need to go back 100 years to imagine what it looks like for a major nation to colla
