I found it quite simple to use Jekyll, could be because I used a ""butler"" for it - found Poole[1] pretty good to get started with. Also I guess since I'm a Ruby dev a lot of Jekyll stuff made sense to me pretty qu

Samsung tablets can act as second screens for windows PCs AFAIK. For Linux I've had some success with Microsoft's RD Client android app -> remote to Linux PC. I'm on gnome though, which has some experimental setting which

Not sure about this figure? > But the crowns can account for up to 80% of the fruit’s volume... Also instead of just yanking off the crown, which seems to aggravate browning, they could probably just cut it off close(r) to the stem for e

If main/master isn't your production branch then allowing auto merge makes a lot of sense. And if your changes have been QA'd in staging and/or they aren't that hectic (and are backwards compatible) then I think aut

I think the recent announcement of OverflowAI [1] could work quite well in this way for a big company like that. FWIW the announcement reads very boring to me but I guess I was expecting something else. Likely won't be super useful in

Took me a while to realise there are no "your comment has been replied to!" type notifications on HN. Seemed weird to me. I know there are a couple third-party services that you can sign up on to monitor that for you (they email y

Not "monetarily" as high value as some of the other examples here, but Icefrog, the lead developer/game balancer for Dota and Dota 2 is also mostly pseudonymous. I think if it weren't for some stupid comments by a League

100% I think I understand what OP is getting at, but if an AI lawyer proves to be both cheaper to hire and more effective at defending me... it's a no-brainer IMO. Then after my AI lawyer and I win my jaywalking hearing or whatever, I

It looks like Explorer tabs are a very recent addition to W11, so perhaps it isn't fully supported by AH1? Unless by 'tabs' you mean 'instances' or 'windows'?

I feel that way about the ClockworkPi consoles [1] There's a 5% chance that I fall madly in love with this thing and go tinker on some project in a coffee shop every weekend... but it's much more likely that I end up almost never

I think it's almost the opposite - (I think) banks started issuing credit cards (with no ability to overdraw) as "debit cards" because it makes them more convenient for online shopping and such. Not sure why else "debit

I think any effort being put into laptop cameras these days (and for the last 5+ years) is to make them smaller in all dimensions. I'm guessing companies have found that it's always a trade-off between camera quality and bezel siz

I thought Reddit had a page with a bunch of canaries (pictures of canaries) on it, and their idea was to remove one at a time. Can't find that now so it must have been some other service. I think an elegant way for rsync to handle this
