It might not see the courtroom, but you can be damn sure it will see the front page of TechCrunch, The Verge, the New York Times, etc. I think public opinion backlash would be far too great for Uber to do anything about that but tuck their

I wouldn't be willing to admit that I had seen that, or had experienced that in front of my direct manager. Especially given what happened to those who did try to report.

The Ellen Pao case found that, at least in California, an arbitration clause did not hold up. Hence why, despite her employer having such a clause in her contract, she was still able to go to trial.

Abuse has absolutely NOTHING to do with whether or not the victim feels they can safely report it. NOTHING. End of story.

Honestly, the type that is afraid to be fired and doesn't want to rock the boat. I'd like to believe I'd stand up and say that's wrong, but never having been in the situation, I don't know how I'd react. I'

This is kinda like saying, "We should never punish a company for wrongdoing, because they'll pass that on to customers and employees." It doesn't really hold water.

"Innocent till proven guilty surely?" That's for the courts. Not for me hiring my executive team. I have enough damn headaches as it is; I don't need someone coming in and causing more. Especially because, let's be

There's nothing inherently "not good" with switching jobs, no. There's also nothing inherently "good" with switching jobs, either. It's at best a neutral action. However, given what he said he wanted to do

And none of that matters. Fact of the matter is, we do require marriage licenses. And unless you're going to go out and campaign that the government should get out of straight marriage, trying to point this out is quite ignorant and wo

It's more than just marriage, though. Same sex marriage is seen as an acceptance thing as well. By seeing that they are treated like equals, and given the same rights, they'll feel more like they actually belong in society.

I cannot have any respect for that position whatsoever until the "small government" conservatives are lobbying to get government out of straight marriage as well. Until then, it's a bunch of bigots who are too timid to own up

How does this rule, or any other NN provision prevent them from doing that? The answer is that it doesn't.

I don't buy that argument for a second. Especially with this rule. Why should who I choose to do business with effect my rights?

If they're there, why should they not work well, and why should I not use them? Using tools like that does not diminish your ability as a programmer, just like refusing to use tools like that does not somehow make your e-penis bigger.
