I moved my email + contacts + calendar to Fastmail, for files I use dropbox or iCloud it depends on the purpose and I use Apple Photos for photos. All services are much better than Google services. I would never again trust Google with any

I never use cases. But then again, I break every phone eventually. My iPhone 8 has broken glass on both sides and a broken camera glass but it works well apart from that, so I was waiting for this announcement to get a new one.

Coding something in java/kotlin after months or years in only browser world is so relaxing. Maven (or Gradle) just works and upgrading packages is never a scary thing. And if update does break something, it is usually a small API chang

I am a solo developer. I have built 6-7 projects which fall under Jamstack. I find it that it lessens the complexity, and as a bonus I can sleep much more easily at night knowing that my sites are hosted as static websites.

On the other end you can compose class components which have lifecycle methods which you need to jump through up and down the code to figure out the full behavior. Which to me is much more unreadable than hooks and effects. Not to mention t

Does it change anything in your perception of “coming into existence from nothing” if the total energy of this universe is 0?

I experience that too, and only when I ponder the universe and ultimate questions like “why is there something rather than nothing?” It is a strange feeling that comes fast, some feeling of absurdity of it all mixed with the pain that we hu

“Why there is something at all?” The only answer I can satisfy myself with at least a bit is that there is no option for nothing to exist.

You missed the word "unprocessed" in my post that you replied to. Of course that the processed junk is not good. Nobody is saying that Starbucks "coffee" with ungodly amount of sugar or any similar thing is good for you.

Yeah sure, carbs are the ultimate devil in todays hipster keto obsessed world. There is just a slight problem that in short they were never a problem during our history when you eat unprocessed whole foods.
