Very much agree with this. That said given the quality of what they have put out, I'd surmise the issue here is morelikely they don't feel the same pain on load times? Bandwidth too good, rigs too powerful, dev envs overpowered, e

Internationally, whatsapp has been a big (or bigger) source of bullying, mobs, and disinformation in group chats - with even less visibility or moderation capacity/capabilities.

Sciter does not use website at all, nor any HTML engine provided by the host OS. It is itself an entire HTML,CSS,JS engine.

If QOI is interesting because of speed, you might take a look at fpng, a recent/actively developed png reader/writer that is achieving comparable speed/compression to QOI, while staying png compliant. https://githu

This one (used cars) is interesting. Combination of supply limitation and a large number of start-ups/VC money in the sector. It really is true today that buying a trusted used car is WAY easier than buying a new car. This has squeezed

The main site pretty good. http://www.rebol.com/docs.html Note, OP likely talking about Rebol 2. Rebol 3 and Red were/are (sort of) forks...

In practical terms, very impressive. Anyone know what latency is like? Feels a domain where people who have not experienced low latency full duplex cannot fully appreciate why voice has faded in everyday life...

Agree. 5X is probably too high... butttt... let's set the terms. We can adjust the price as we move forward?

Engendering trust and reducing materially regressive liability/litigiousness is a good call - and something that SHOULD be set as a standard by an external body. IMHO this is typically a good role for government regulation - setting a

The syntax is complicated and the debugging is messy. Said another way: writing is ugly, and reading is inscrutable. I'm not sure there's strong evidence (certainly none presented) about performance, etc

If app developers are allowed to price differently on Apple platforms (pass on the costs) .... it's a good start.

Honestly, people complain about the impact of FANG on the crushing effect on the market. The counter balance has always been the consumer good and innovation they provide -- but it's been a LONG time since we've since anything t

Maybe - REBOL was interesting in the functions are all RL to precedence and operators are all LR precedence. It's clean(-ish) without being too verbose/messy. It's not perfect - just thought it was an interesting direction t

You might be right about that. Maybe we need more bracket flexibility or something. Or something built for TOOLING - nobody just writes freeform anymore?

That was the thought: is there some non-BCPL like grammar that makes sense. Like... (not fully formed thought here) JSON is easy but verbose - YAML is nightmare by cleaner. Maybe we're looking at it wrong....

You know --- more and more --- I kinda like the REBOL approach --- forget precedence. Rather, just go L to R except where superceded by parens. Explicit and easy to understand. (Though I say that not having lived it in production, lol - so
