Lol - fair. I might have been too premature in antcipating its failure :P Thought it made a good point, but was too verbose in doing so.

You're misremembering (or didn't follow far enough to get?) a few things. The spice prolongs life, in a way they are unable to replicate or otherwise export production of. Production of the Spice also is devastating to the ec

This is an under rated comment - likely due to length :P TL;DR - the web has gotten WIDER since 2013. A lot.

I think the article starts out sounding that way --- but reading all the way through, it's about how to DO BETTER if you want to ship more often (the key take aways from the article being: document, iterate/revisit, and be intenti

Hah - I think that's clever: Apple as the "China" of the new world tech order... All their users and developers are happy with their benevolence. Except the ones that aren't.

This is a nice-ish idea. But... does that mean that Apple and MS would not ve allowed to make any apps if they make the OS?

Fair point on FB and Google. Troubling rumblings in that direction... But I dont follow... install only their app from that store. Same sandbox, etc applies. Let them require same security. As to revenue... that might have to so with cust

Maybe think of it differently: what if there were third party app stores that had the same TECHNICAL requirements, but not the same business/policy requirements. Feels like this is (should be?) as much about USER freedom and choice as

Agree-ish - buttt makes me think: How about... dont keep a dependency you could replace with an afternoon of programming? Factor, re-factor, and (most especially) DELETE should be tools in the toolbox -- but see if you need it/keep i

I think this misses the point. Latency becomes the dominate factor very very quickly. Increases to webpage speed only really help for large file downloads (and sometimes not those) and increased user/device concurrency. Edit: this a

Excellent and fun project. Error handling seems light... especially at runtime, but for a toy, its cool. Hard to argue its more portable than C until it can self host though.
