Once again, how do you know that? Or are you just making assumptions based on your pre-conceived ideas of how all 350m people in America live their lives?

How do you know that? You're making assumptions based on nothing. You know people die of cancer in Canada too, right? You know people die of preventable illnesses in Canada too, right? Stop pretending we're perfect. Anyway it simp

What a horribly cold-hearted and tactless thing to say. From what I've read, she got diagnosed a month ago. Is our treatment here in Canada so damn good that we'd have been able to save her? I doubt it.

It's truly absurd to compare "my computer might be hacked and used by baddies" to "I don't want to wear a mask during a pandemic" It's not a comparison that bears a response.

And if VLC put in its TOS it won't open an MP4 with violent imagery, crying censorship would be a bit silly.

I'm just guessing but it might have to do with the concerns raised by the first commenter in the reply by textfiles (Jason Scott) in that reddit thread tl;dr seems to be they received a massive (71,000 tapes) archive that hasn't s

I tried to get VLC to open up a PDF and it didn't do as I asked. Should I cry censorship at the VLC devs, or should I accept that all software only does as a user asks insofar as the developers allow it?

Can someone explain how it's "censorship" that a company doesn't want their service used in particular ways? If you don't like it... don't use it? Encourage others not to use it? I just don't see how this

Too bad intelligence isn't the prerequisite to being an elite, so you'll be turned into Soylent Green just like the rest of us. Anyway I'd take those people over someone as elitist and arrogant as you any day.

"Everyone else is stupid. I'm not though. I should be part of the elite" The apathy and disdain people like you display for your fellow citizens is doing more harm to freedoms all over the world than most other efforts.

I really don't see how GP's comment is lazy nihilism. There's plenty of that in this thread, but I felt GP made good points.
