Wouldn't substantial presence test determine tax payer status? I've been paying US income tax the past few years without even being there on a visa, simply by meeting substantial presence test while on visa waiver and not claiming

Of course they got a ton of downloads. Apple promoted it in the App Store before it was even launched and also sent out an email blast when it launched.

It's not the percentage they removed but the 'time remaining' indicator.

The new 15 inch max specced is $4,299 + tax in the US.

I really hope so. The 16gb ram limit is what's keeping me from pulling the trigger on one.

It sounds like a bug in Safari causing the cpu to kill the battery. Possibly a race condition since it's random. Guessing this will be fixed in an OS X update shortly.

They say at the end of the test they use Safari, but got much better results with Chrome: "Once our official testing was done, we experimented by conducting the same battery tests using a Chrome browser, rather than Safari. For this ex

I have Eero but not 100% happy with it. For some reason it sometimes drops the connection to my Macbook Pro. Disconnecting and reconnecting wifi bring the connection back up. I've been thinking of making the switch to Ubiquiti and thin

Hopefully they release an update within a year with a 32gb ram option. I was for sure buying a new MacBook Pro until I went to the order page and couldn't find the ram option. My late 2013 will just have to last another cycle.

Seriously, no 32gb ram option?

by sprite 10y ago
Completely agree. I don't care about it being thin. I care about it being suitable for work. The current generation is more than thin enough.

I hope they let us configure it with 32gb ram and a 2tb ssd. Also hoping that they release a new external display at the same time.

Don't forget eb5 except it's super slow. Probably takes 2 years from initial investment until you have your conditional greencard. Then another couple of years until you have a full fledged one.

As someone who hasn't programmed much C++ in the last 10 years, what's a good book to get caught up with all the new stuff?

I experienced this issue earlier today. I assumed my Safari had gotten corrupted somehow, crazy that a serverside issue would bring down the browser like that.

None of my cards are signed and the merchant never checks the back of the card or asks for ID after signing. In a lot of cases AMEX doesn't even require signatures for purchases.

If you can afford it EB-5 is probably the most straightforward one, but it still takes forever. If you started the process now you probably won't have your visa for 2 years.

As mentioned in the article another option is EB-5 investment visa. You need approximately $600k ($500k investment + budget another $100k for regional center fees, lawyer fees, etc). The process is still super slow though, the current avera
