It's now deployed in most if not all California State Universities. Most of the CSU campuses are still using Blackboard. MOODLE is used by around 6 of the 23 campuses and is being piloted by a few others.

How do you assess your effectiveness at proofreading your own code? I know that I find more mistakes in my code when time reveals the code as it is rather than as it was intended . But I can't say this makes me good enough at proofread

I like Gruber, but he's almost insufferable on issues like these. These questions are "simple" in the least flattering sense. Let's dispatch them: If H.264 support is being removed to “enable open innovation”, will Flash Player support be

The feature isn't bad, but there are several warts. The '$' is not a prefix operator on strings. The following is a syntax error: $"test"; It turns out that '$' can only operate on an identifier or another '$' expression. The '${..

I'm annoyed by the belief that consistency is ipso facto good. Consistency is a tool for attacking a particular type of problem. Consistency for its own sake will often make things worse. I see this fallacious reasoning all the time in de

No, actually, it is not, and you surely know this. People may be asymptomatic yet still have an illness. People may have all of the symptoms of a particular illness and yet not have it. And lists of symptoms are not (cannot truly be) exhaus

No. Consider these as symptoms. A cough is neither necessary nor sufficient to prove you have a cold. You may have a cold without a cough; you may have a cough without a cold. Yet, you wouldn't assert that a cough is a useless piece of evid

I missed this reply, but in case you come back to see it: the common approach to this issue is denormalization. That is, instead of needing to join comments to todo items to todo lists to get the project_id, you duplicate the project_id on

You may need to spell out what you're trying to say. Why should one expect the spending per student to decrease solely (or even primarily) as subsidies decrease? Aren't tuition and enrollment far more important?

I'd say Coi, Quince, and Kokkari. There's also One Market, Boulevard, and Perbacco. Really no shortage of fine dining in the area, many of which could easily be "incredible" according to an individual's taste.

Looking at just comments on items in todo lists: comment's have an item_id, items have a list_id, and lists have a project_id. You want to get all comments across all projects a user is a member of, so you end with a small handful of joins.
