Interesting. This game has been on Dutch television (Lingo) since I was a small child. (At least if not longer.) what is so special about it?

Although in the case of nuclear, all it takes is for someone to trigger a chain reaction. That could even be done with stolen material. (Or have I read too much Tom Clancy?)

Okay, you are right! I didn’t recall that bit of the shares and the news from the second article completely went by me.

Apps used to open in the background in macOS. Also OS dialogs would not steal focus iirc, or maybe those modal dialogs dood not exist. Not stealing focus used to be one of the top rules in the Apple human interface guidelines. I’m really no

I read Paul Allen’s biography. There it seemed Gates could be (quite) a bit of a jerk. However, this thing about shares isn’t mentioned. And was Gates removed from the board of Microsoft? Where did you get that information?

Ah well. Stealing focus is happening more and more in macOS. A great annoyance…

For 4 there are log libraries that let you log on info and debug but only standard print the info logs, then later if an error occurs in scope emit also the debug logs. This helps save data and performance in happy paths and still retains a

Whenever starting Linux I see a statement like “applying cpu microcodes”. So it seems the pathway to write microcodes is well known. I also recall some windows app circulating in the Hackintosh community to patch your Intel cpu to make it b

What is the best way to get ipv6 if your ISP doesn’t support it? I tried getting HurricaneElectric to work for tunnelling on my Ubiquity USG3 but couldn’t make it to work. What would be the best way to get ipv6?

I expected it to work that what is listed in the marketplace is the design and when signing the app it includes the permissions as mentioned in the marketplace. If the binary requests different permissions they are rejected by the OS withou

It is not that uncommon to have make changes to a build system in many places in order to support a new architecture. Especially if there was previously only support for a single one.

To me Babylon 5 and Battlestar Galactica are the same in that regard. Ridiculously strange bad acting, or maybe just completely different from what else I was watching at the time, but an interesting story line which kept my interest.

They tried that with SG Universe right? I thought it had real premise but it didn’t really take off. Iirc, there was a writers guild strike which killed all momentum or something.

What is it that makes SG-1 and Atlantis so extremely re watchable? I absolutely loved deep space 9, but watching TOS, TNG, and DS9 gave me such a feeling of disconnect and failed to immerse me like before. Maybe due to the subpar acting?

To be fair to the managers, from my experience managers themselves have little to say and it is mostly HR that determines rules like compensation. In our case, insanely, salaries are frozen. Nothing that your direct manager can do about it.

At that point it would be easier if it just came with its own 5g modem and ipv6 support.

I suppose you want the crumble zone to be on the outside. Outside critical parts and easily replaceable. Then you want the inner shell not to disform, or not too much, as otherwise you are sending metal into body parts.

The original is quickcheck for erlang which also has an Haskell flavour. It has inspired scalacheck for scala. I test pure logic with property based testing and simple integration testing to ensure all the steps are aligned properly.

How does this even pay out? Do they use this “trick” to get a free ride and return the bike somewhere, do they steal the bike and keep it or do they sell it? Seems like a pretty handson and risky thing to do.

I wonder. Does a painter take into account how the paints dry and age when painting? Say, so that it appears at its optimum a year after it is finished as opposed to directly after finishing? Is there a purpose to do so?

How would you do this when running in kubernetes? Afaik it just guarantees that you get scheduled on some cpu for the “right” amount of time. Not on which cpu that is. I only know that there is one scheduler that gives you dedicated cores i
