Over here the main reason for vaccinating children is to reduce the infections carried over by children. Not necessarily to spare them from symptoms as most children will just have mild symptoms and less long covid. I’m not sure whether the

It sounds like these tools should be using some machine format. Perhaps json or something as opposed to human readable strings. Then again, also the layout of the json might change but at least that can potentially be done in a backwards co

I rarely touch C(++) but every time I have to compile something a bit more complicated than the simplest of projects it is noticeably slow. Other languages I use, scala and go and rust, have higher initial cost but seem to suffer less when

It would be nice if there were a tool that would take the input to graphviz, run it to graphviz to get the layout and then use that to generate the tikz code using that layout.

How does that work? Does OSM verify who emergency services employees are? Or is the item owned by an account of an employee of the emergency services? It seems like this data should be coming directly from some government database.

Afaik, Twitter already has significant and mature infrastructure in place to run a plethora of different instances on shadowed traffic and compare settings. It is used at least by the people working on the optimised jre.

The tire sounds are way less at low speeds. Where the sound matters for safety is where people are and around corners and situational changes. These moments tend to be where speed is Low and varying. As well of the type of sound. If you hea

I’m not sure whether the clatter of (ironed) hooves on cobblestone combined with the carriage wheels on stone plus the grind of the axles was so much quieter. It’s just that there are so many more sources of sound around us within our daily

Brightness isn’t necessarily the problem if they are pointed at the correct angle. Lights within spec are annoyingly blinding if set too high.

As Epse says, there is no “in Europe” for this. The rules for masks on children varies greatly between countries. But letting the kids wear a mask is certainly not seen as child abuse over where I live. Maybe as unnecessary or as “overly c

I admit that the statements could have been sharper but I don’t directly relate losing eyesight to long covid. I’m just trying to say that there are other effects than death which seem more likely and impactful for longer for youthful peopl

I think dying from COVID is the least scary part. The long COVID is way more common in my area. People stay ill for longer or lose fitness. We have one acquaintance that now has issues finding the right words. Personally I lost a few points

Okay. Just like any other software that should be firewalled in to only connect to what it should connect to. Moreover, I think meta sploit already has this vulnerability built in so it should be trivial to test/fuzz the application.

Working in finance, I have to report any gift above €50. This includes when I would receive a gift or lottery for a training, a conference, etc. So for us it is at least treated like a potential personal payment.
