So what does your resume say for the period of time you are over employed? Lets say you worked at Meta, IBM, and Tinder... What do you put on your resume when applying for other roles?

I honestly like the Wordpress developer model. I’ve written themes and plugins. I’ve learned how to write tests for both. I like how they released the “wp-cli” so I can manage Wordpress outside the web GUI. It sometimes does feel a little j

Off topic: Since AI has become an overloaded term and I like to build AI for video games (finite state machines, behavior trees, utility functions, etc) does anyone have a suggestion on what term to migrate to so when I say “I like writing

Unity is starting out gaining trust by saying that the TOS GitHub repo that was deleted by Unity was a “separate event” and “an unfortunate coincident.” The real reason it was removed was because the “views were low.” OKAY, sure. I’d love t

I'm not entirely sure that intel is in the best position to make consumer grade specialty "AI" PC because they make CPUs not GPUs. Maybe that's a bad interpretation on my end since intel has afforded graphics for compute

Tell me more. I’ve recently (past two weeks) gotten more into shaders and I’d like to hear more about this story. What was the shader cache compilation stutter?

Yes and no. No the installs that have occurred before 01/01/2024 will not be charged or counted. Yes the old games will have the per install charges levied for installs that happen on or after 01/01/2024

Any advice on how to build a tender pipeline from scratch? Im struggling learning how to implement interesting shaders as a user. I couldn’t imagine building a render pipeline engine on top of writing shader code.

Serious question: isn’t this illegal? Technically the $job was paying $Tommy for his expertise in networking. If $Tommy withheld that expertise and instead entered into a conspiracy with $friend to launder his expertise for more profit from

To be honest I do wonder if my fixation with local development is even justifiable. Looking around at projects and documentation I do get the sense that local dev is not a priority, and maybe that isn’t a bad thing. Amazing projects exist.

These terms are so cringeworthy and not really explanatory. E.g. “quiet quitting” means doing your job as outline in your contract. If anything it’s just compliance. Loud laborers is at least an explanatory term though it loses points with

Nope! It’s all synthesized knowledge from other sources. I’m simply reading, doing, and thinking a bunch to work out what makes sense. If you ask about automated testing for game dev you quickly learn there is very very little desire to ent

I feel like something lost for (web) programmers is how to construct complex systems in a “do it yourself” yet practical manner. My hobby of doing game dev (driven by automated testing) has taught me so much about patterns of abstraction, b
