I'm using flatbuffers as the basis of communication for my multiplayer game. They're really quite pleasant to work with after you get into the flow of it.

It seems like the background measurements have a higher deviation from the truth. For example, it will ocassionaly read my oxygen level as <90% and that just seems really unlikely. If I open the app and stay still for the full 15 seconds

Is there room for "convergent evolution" with patent law? It seems to me that the odds of developing similar systems are very high if two companies with light based sensors try to develop pulse oximetery.

This idea might be a bit too naive but it seems like it could help 1) Record the IP address and edge of connecting clients 2) Use an IP API to determine the rough location and ISP of clients based on their IP 3) Spatially query the edge clo

I really do appreciate it. Is there any way Fly could detect this? I know geo IP isn’t perfect but it seems like it could help you track this stuff by allowing you to compare edge location to the users location.

Here’s the forum thread I made about the issue. https://community.fly.io/t/how-is-edge-routing-determined/96... Traces and ISP involved are in there. Thanks for looking into it! Edit: I just double checked and it&

I recently migrated some services from DigitalOcean to Fly and it was quite pleasant. My only issue is that routing to Fly from Southern California is awful. My friend and I have different ISPs and yet we’re both routed to the east coast in

Fly.io has support for launching a preconfigured high availability postgres cluster. You do have to manage it yourself but most of the hard parts are taken care of. The pricing is also pretty competitive. I just recently migrated my postgre

With the scale of layoffs it seems obvious that there are many great applicants in the pool again. There's no way you can argue that 100% of laid off FAANG employees were poor performers.
