While initially resistant I've come around on Black for our team and a failed Black check will now make a CI build fail for all our projects. We're still using the community edition of SonarQube [0] for inspection but Black finall

All I know is that with 80-char width I can have 2 files side-by-side on a 15" MBP along with the dir-tree on the left in an editor like PyCharm or VSCode and fully see both files wo wrapping. It helps my productivity immensely. Same d

I've used DevPi [1] in my previous job while my current team uses Artifactory [2] and both are pretty decent solutions while the latter of course is rather expensive. Personally I've found DevPi to be more than sufficient for a sm

Been using it for work and my first 'request' would be to add the "commit message recall" that SourceTree offers, a feature I always missed in Tower. With it I can make small commits individually (eg "added new CRUD

Also would love a GitFlow integration like the one you get in SourceTree [1] or Tower [2]. [1] https://blog.sourcetreeapp.com/2012/08/01/smart-branching-wi... [2] https://www.git-tower.com/hel

Just downloaded it cause SourceTree has been getting slower and more temperamental over time. Seems fantastic and very fast thus far, I'll be testing it more extensively over the coming weeks and might well switch to this. Beautiful wo

Thanks for that, very interesting. Couldn't quite figure out whether I'd be able to see/photograph it from Australia during the night but then again I'm pretty clueless.

That looks fantastic! I believe that Adobe Premiere and After Effects already offer that feature called content-aware fill for video and it seems to work very well [1]. Of course those are not open-source but it's really inspiring to s

+1 for bensound.com (no affiliation either). Per my understanding of their terms [0] the free tracks can be used in YT videos as long as you credit them. Unfortunately, the tracks that can be retrieved without subscription are a precious fe

I can tell you from experience that academia is as cliquey as it gets. Depending on the field even having a good university affiliation may not see you getting through the submission and review process if you don't have one of the cliq

Ok this is silly but 24K gold is about 40$ per gram. Does anyone know the weight of this stand? Could I make one out of solid gold for that price :)? Probably not with 24K gold, assuming the stand weighs more than 250g but 6K gold is about

Have you had a look at https://nomadlist.com/ ? I recall seeing something like chat groups by location. I’m sure a lot of the concerns other people raised re working rights and legal complexities are valid but it’s not fair
