I doubt it. The alternative is selling software for a high one time license fee, and that's even harder right now. (i.e. Those clients going bankrupt aren't buying anything from anyone, it's not about the specific model).

This is great news, I'm glad the Mr. Gates has decided to orient his foundation and efforts towards this. If we as a society don't get our arms around this pandemic, the other things Mr. Gates cares won't be solved either.

That was true 15 years ago, but is not true any more. (It's still "redder" than LA or SF, but not even close to the reddest place in CA). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politics_of_San_Diego_County

That isn't quite right, you can can still buy these things online. This is just a temporary effort to stop the "retail tourism" that people seem to be partaking in (going to retail stores to look around as something to do).

In this case, the USPS is not funded by taxes. It has a nightmarish duality of both getting no public funds and being controlled by congress.

2 Million deaths was without all the drastic measures we've taken. I'm having a hard time understanding what exactly you are suggesting we (society) should have done here. "Used our common sense" to do what?

Serious question - would you feel the same way about using CEO or CFO without spelling out what they stand for?

Why would you assume these companies would go bankrupt? In most cases they will just lay off a bunch of people (which is exactly what the legislation is designed to avoid).

If the real goal here is to save jobs, this is all completely irrelevant.

This is a very uncharitable take, here are three things they are asking for from the article, all of which seem very reasonable to me: "Workers from both Amazon and Instacart want more access to paid sick time off. At this time, it

I've posted this before, but it's relevant again: My high school started at 7am. I also took the bus; which picked up around 6:15am; so I usually woke up around 5:45am during the week. I would often nod off during my first or seco

Two quick thoughts on this. 1) The amount of transparency that this company shows is insane. I have a hard time imagining any one else in this situation sharing the way they do. I hope it works out for them long term. 2) The due diligence
