Interesting. I lived in Switzerland near Zurich from when I was 5 until 9 and could speak fluent Schwiizerdüütsch at the time. Unfortunately in the 30+ years since I seem to have forgotten it all. The last time I went skiing in Switzerland

Meaningful phrases or sentences can usually be expressed in Ithkuil with fewer linguistic units than in natural languages.[2] For example, the two-word Ithkuil sentence "Tram-mļöi hhâsmařpţuktôx" can be translated into English as

I agree with you. I currently have a similar process where I jot down the steps in README.md or INSTRUCTIONS.md files. The script is a bit better in that it forces you to do the steps in order and you're less likely to skip a step by a

I really like the M Language and Power Query (PQ) makes it really easy and convenient to build data mashups. You can even use it as a SQL query builder by viewing the Native Query code and then copying that. The main issue I'm facing i

DuckDB looks very interesting and I'm quite excited to examine it more closely in the next few days! I just wanted to add to the discussion that an unchanging file format, or at least a backwards compatible one, is a key feature of sql

How is this sort of thing not abused? Say I generate logs at say 1 GB/hr and store them in files named `logs.$(date +%Y%m%dT%H)` and I have it set up to take snapshots every 4 hours and delete files older than 5 hours, then I could hav

I'd also like to know how Voilà compares to Panel. The recent Panel announcement stated that it was widget/graphing library agnostic and mentioned plotly and Altair explicitly. I have not used it myself though.
