So funny, I also first leaned English from Leisure Suit Larry. I remember being stuck on "TAKE OFF CLOTHES" for the longest time.

Thank you for taking the time to write your comment. That book looks exactly like what I am looking for. I will definitely look for it. With regards to my scepticism, I think you captured a lot of it in your examples. I guess i am afraid of

Thank you for your informative comment. I was as sceptical of ADHD as most of the commenters here and have been resisting sending my son for an assessment for about a year because I guess what the diagnosis will be. However the more I'

How does this compare to Dash by plotly and also Jupyter Dashboards? At first glance the use cases seem different (applications vs dashboards) but they both provide widgets and GUI elements. Are there things that would be much simpler/

This is very cool. Are there any alternatives that do the same? I'm happy to use this just checking if there's another standard that's more widely adopted?

I'm not sure about the name. It suggests it would be about hyperparameter learning which doesn't appear to be the case. Perhaps something like sklearn-torch would be better?

Please excuse my ignorance but I'm just really curious because it's been a few times that I have seen comments on HackerNews by people the were homeless at some point. How does this happen in the US? In my mind if you have the int

I agree. After 15 years on QWERTY and now over 10 years on Dvorak, I find the navigation in vim with the default hjkl keys in Dvorak better than in QWERTY. I'm considering switching to Colemak but the vim key mappings concern me.

Is there a vim with support for large files, i.e. only reading a chunk/window of data at a time as I browse? My use case is that I sometimes need to inspect large CSV files and vim will take a long time and then abort saying that it co

Very interesting. The provenance tracking is a nice feature that I haven't seen a lot of in other systems. Any examples of this being used in the wild?

Nothing too mysterious in the examples in the SEC Alert link. One just has to keep in mind that these ETFs leverage the daily return and then take into account the compounding effects. If you have an index with normally distributed returns
